Nicolás is one of the most versatile and recognized musicians in the current scene in Colombia.
He is a pianist, songwriter, arranger, producer, singer, and professor. He has produced many musical works, and he has performed in different countries while participating in jazz festivals, singer-songwriter festivals, and independent theatres and scenarios. He was keyboardist of the multiple Latin Grammy award winner, Fonseca. He has also played the piano for Alé Kuma, and he has played with different recognized artists as Antonio Arnedo and Tico Arnedo, Marta Gómez, Juan Sebastián Monsalve, among others. He has worked as an arranger for the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra in the productions Aterciopelados Filarmónico, Herencia de Timbiquí, El Kanka Filarmónico, Rolling Ruanas Filarmónico, inter alia.
Nicolás studied at Javeriana University of Bogotá, where he graduated with honors in piano interpretation. He studied in Taller de Músics in Barcelona for some years, and then, at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea de Buenos Aires. He has lead singing with armonics worshops in different countries, and he has been a professor and Los Andes University (Bogotá, Colombia), INNCA University (Bogotá, Colombia), Pontificia Javeriana University, and the EMC in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
